Klayton Tietjen

Klayton TietjenI am a graduate student in the History department. I study the Early Middle Ages, focusing on the Carolingian Empire. I earned a BA at Idaho State University where I majored in History and minored in French. I lived in France for two years and speak French fluently; I also speak and write German and Latin. Before coming back to school, I worked in real estate for ten years, building a property investment and management company.

My beautiful wife, my three kids and I are loving Knoxville and are very pleased to be living this chapter of our life in East Tennessee.
