Student Spotlight: Philip Dunn

Philip DunnPhilip Dunn, a Judaic Studies major from Macon, Georgia, received the Dr. Ruben P. Robinson Judaic Studies Scholarship.

“Growing up, I always had interests in history, religion, and contemporary politics,” Philip said. He is scheduled to graduate this December and credits Judaic Studies with improving his research and writing abilities. Philip has taken classes with a wide swath of Judaic program.

“Since joining the program several years ago, I have learned under some very bright professors,” Philip said. “With that, my favorite course was probably Dr. Dan Magilow’s Holocaust course.” After graduation, Philip plans to apply to law school.

“The Judaic Studies program has certainly helped to hone my skills that will be applicable to continuing my education. Judaic Studies has sharpened the skills that, to me, undergird a liberal arts education.”
